Donald R. Berthelette

Donald R. Berthelette, 67, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was married to his high school sweetheart Carroll L. (Inzer)Berthelette, they were married for the past 49 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Germaine and Helene (Gingras) Berthelette. He resided in Douglas, MA., for the past 15 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Don enjoyed cruising and travel, he was a diehard New England Patriots fan, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially attending his grandchildren's sporting events and playing cards with them.
He was a project manager for Northeastern University, Boston for 21 years until his retirement in 2018.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children: Amie Souza and her husband John Souza of Smithfield, Holly Desrosiers and her husband Kevin Desrosiers of Bedford, NH., Kerrie Pedro and her husband Jason of Cumberland, and Brandon Berthelette of Douglas, MA. His two sisters: Pauline Aliskevicz of Fitchburg, MA., and Lisa Hoard of Coventry, RI. Nine grandchildren: Michael Souza, Austin Berthelette and his girlfriend Galina Jaros, Jayden Pedro, Camron Pedro, Halie Souza, Anabelle Souza, Devon Pedro, Avery Desrosiers, and Emerson Desrosiers, along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Louis Berthelette, and Lorraine Gaouette.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Don's Life Celebration to be held beginning with Visiting Hours on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayers Service will be held by Deacon John Aliskevicz at 6:30 PM. Burial will be private.
