To Mary, Greg, and all of Jerry's children and grandchildren, we wish you peace in this time of sorrow.
Jerry was a wise and thoughtful man, and I still cherish the time he comforted me on the passing of my Mom. He makes me proud of my Irish heritage.
I will miss his smile and the twinkle in his eyes when Chie played 'It's a Long Way to Tipperary' every Friday. We will all miss him dearly.

To Mary Ellen, Theresa, Kathy, Steve and all the extended Darmody Family, I was so very sad to recently learn of the passing of Mr. Darmody, and his wife some time previously. As a former neighbor, I always enjoyed interacting with your family. When I would go door to door with Initiative Petitions and such in the 1980s, the Darmody's would usually sign them but not before Jerry would throw some good question(s) at me, to have me explain further or amplify on related issues of concern to him. It was good to see people thinking and challenging a young "Reagan kid" to defend his stance! I was so honored when both Mrs. Darmody and Mrs. Ratte at Christ the King were present at my own Mother's memorial Mass back in 2005, as greeters. Our family was scattered by then all over the U.S., so it was comforting to see two familiar lovely Catholic ladies there who actually knew Mom at her special Mass. Both my parents are gone now, so my heart and prayers go out to you all. May Christ's endless and eternal love, and many warm memories comfort you all now in the days and time ahead. I will never forget your parents! Rest in Peace, Jerry and Anna.
