John Austin Obituary
Resident of Fremont
John Austin entered peacefully into rest February 28, 2012 in Fremont, CA. Born March 21, 1922 in North Dakota, he was 89 years old and a long time Fremont resident. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Norma Austin. As a veteran of WWII he served in the US Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of UC Berkeley with a Bachelors of Science degree and a Doctorate in Optometry and a longtime optometrist in the Centerville district of Fremont. He was also an avid golfer and a former member of the Centerville Lions Club.

Dr Austin prescribed my first pair of glasses when I was in the 8th grade and through high school. God Bless him and his family thank you for your great care.
