John Golinski Obituary

John Paul Golinski, 89, of Port Richey, FL, and formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, February 26th, 2011 in Hernando Pasco Hospice.

His wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (O'Brien) Golinski died in 2004.

He leaves three sons, John R. "Bob" Golinski and his wife, Laura of Richardson, TX, David P. Golinski and his wife, Brenda of Plano, TX and James J. Golinski and his wife, Judy of Dade City, FL; a brother, Joseph Golinski of Millbury; two sisters, Frances Chrostowski of Worcester and Josephine Guerin of Auburn; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Victoria Golinski.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Paul and Mary (Danko) Golinski. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Golinski was a former member of St. Peter's Church and worked for U.S. Steel & Wire retiring in 1972. He toured the country with his wife with a travel trailer, enjoyed ballroom dancing and was an avid Lionel Train Collector.

The funeral is Thursday, March 3rd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
