John Heron Obituary
Uxbridge - John J. "Johnny" Heron, 28, of Gertrude St. died Wed. Dec 27, 2017 at Milford Hospital after a brief illness.
He is survived by his mother Amy J. (Gresian) Heron and her fiancé (step-dad) Sean Aylward with whom he lived; his father John Heron of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Jamie L. Heron of Uxbridge; his maternal grandparents Joseph H. II and Eileen Beane-Gresian of Sutton; paternal grandparents Doreen Riggs of Florida and John Heron of Hopedale; maternal great-grandmother Cora (Jones) Gresian of N. Carolina; his girlfriend Gillian Hutt of Medway; aunts Bonnie Kapitanyan and Jackie Heron; uncles Joseph Gresian and James Heron; beloved cousins and many friends including Jennifer Walsh, Director of Milford Special Olympics, Ashley Aldrich, the staff at Seven Hills Milford and his many Special Olympics coaches and fellow athletes. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Linda (Durant) Gresian. Born in Worcester on Jan. 9, 1989 he lived in Whitinsville, Hopkinton and Uxbridge many years.
A 2008 Graduate of Uxbridge High School, Johnny was involved with the Seven Hills Aspire Program in Milford and Alternatives in Uxbridge. He worked at Hannaford's Grocery Store and Milestones Ultimate Hotdogs in Uxbridge. He loved sports and participated in basketball, soccer, bowling, and softball for the Special Olympics. He also attended their dances and events. He liked cooking and his local Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots Teams. Known for having a big heart he loved his entire family and will be deeply missed.
His Memorial Funeral Service will be held Sun. Jan 7, 2018 at 4 pm in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd. Uxbridge. Memorial calling hours at the funeral home are Sun. Jan 7 from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Milford Special Olympics, 31 W. Fountain St., Milford MA 01757.

When I hung the ornament he made on my tree this year it brought a smile to my face. I never realized how many memories that chalkboard stocking held until I heard this sad news. Johnny will always have a special place in my heart. Sent with love to his family.
