Good morning, Gary. This is Kevin Harvey. Its been many a decade since last we spoke, but I feel compelled to send you my condolences. Your brother impressed me as an intelligent, forceful fellow. The memory works in strange ways, and I've never forgoten his comment to me that he was one of those people who read EVERY small piece in a given newspaper. He was the only person I ever heard make such a remark and it stayed with me. Indeed, given that I read the papers the same way, it haunted me. Its a a tiny anecdote, I admit, but its often the smallest things that impress. So I'm sorry you've lost your brother; I send you my best, and hope that we might again cross paths somewhere down the line. Take care, Kevin

Gary,
Life moves so quickly. I am very sorry for your loss. It's been a lot of years since Lincoln Street. My brothers John and David remember a lot of good times. Well, now he can catch up on old times with my brother, Mike.

Gary, We want to offer our deepest sympathy in the loss of your brother. While we lost touch with John all these years, he still was a part of our class and we never gave up hope that he would attend one of our reunions. From Steve's comment, he must have been an incredible brother and we know you will miss him.

Gary, I'm so sorry for the loss of Brother. I know that in good times as well as bad there has always been the love and care that belongs with a brother. You took very good care of him even though at times it was difficult and in no way should you ever feel down on yourself because I'm sure John knew how much you loved him. And he to you.The bond you both had for each other is very rare. I have learned so much from him and found it so cool that he would sit down reading two different history books, a Geography book, and maybe a Newsweek mag or something like that and still hold a conversation with anybody about anything and give an educated answer to any questions that you would ask him. You could ask him anything and he would know the answer it seemed. John will be missed by me very much and I'm sure by very many people. Love you John and Gary.
