I used to call him Dear John. So sad to hear this. My condolences to his wife and family. I had the pleasure to meet him at Saint Marys Health Center and provide care for him so many times as his cna. Good and nice man. Rest in peace Dear John.

When My husband and I were married in 1990, we asked John to do us the honor of reading a passage from the bible for us. He did an outstanding job. He also took many candid shots of our wedding ceremony had them developed and gave them to us after we returned from our honeymoon. My husband knew John as a painter and more importantly as a Friend of Bill. He helped him from the very beginning and even though we have not seen him for awhile, he has always been in our thoughts and prayers. Our condolences to his family.

We loved Santa John coming into the grocery store in Harwich Port. He had great summer print shirts. He was awesome when he would come in after a Santa gig. His outfit was the most beautiful I've ever seen! He would kneel down to talk to children, then they would hug Santa! He made my heart shine with Christmas Spirit!

On behalf of all of us at Brewster Baptist Church, I wish to express our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to all of John's family. We enjoyed his presence and his attendance at our worship services. We have missed him since he had to leave the Cape. We pray that those who loved him most will be comforted by memories of good times that you shared together that you will continue to carry in your hearts. May the Lord bless and keep you all. Grace and Peace, Pastor Doug Scalise, Brewster Baptist Church
