Jose Rivera Obituary
He is survived by his companion of eighteen years, Maria Zayas of Clinton, and their three children, Ezequiel Vazquez, Yeidivelis Rivera, and Onix Rafael Rivera. He leaves his parents, Angel and Juanita Rivera; and three brothers: Gami Rivera, Juan Rivera, and Jose Manuel Rivera, all of Fitchburg, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Jose was born in Puerto Rico, immigrated and settled with his family in Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1985. He later relocated to Clinton and began employment with Nypro, Inc., from where he has currently worked for nearly four years. Jose held a passion for classical Spanish music and took great interest in knowledge of antique automobiles. He most cherished time spent with his children and will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Funeral services are to be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will be held at a later date in Jose's hometown in Puerto Rico. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6 until 8PM. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jose R. Rivera to the Vazquez-Rivera Scholarship Fund, c/o Leominster Credit Union, 159 Mechanic St., Clinton, MA 01510.
