Joseph Gangai Obituary
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Yolanda "Nikki" (Ferro) Gangai; a daughter, Marlene M. Perno and her husband Steve of Worcester; two sons, Joseph A. Gangai, Jr. and his wife Nicolena "Nikki" Gangai of Oxford, MA, Gene A. Gangai and his wife Michelle of Worcester; two brothers, Dr. Mauro P. Gangai of Kerrville, TX and Gino V. Gangai of Paxton, MA; four dear grandchildren, Nicholas Perno, Leah, Gianna & Michael Gangai and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Gangai.
Joe was born in Worcester, son of the late Ignazio and Pasquelina (DiTerlizzi) Gangai. He graduated from Commerce High School and served in the Navy on the USS Midway.
He worked many years for Francis Harvey & Sons before retiring to Florida. Joe served many years as State Commander for the Italian American War Veterans and President of the IT-AM Club. He was also a member of the Post 3.
Burial will be private. Donations may be made in Joe's memory to the Make a Wish Foundation.
