Juha Kuusisaari Obituary
Central Falls, RI - Juha E. Kuusisaari, 67 formerly of Millbury, MA passed away on Wednesday, February 18 at his home in Central Falls, RI after a long illness. He leaves his daughter, Sharyn and her husband, Brian Morin of Sutton, a son Sean Kuusisaari of Cumberland, RI, and two grandsons Thomas and Kevin Morin both of Sutton. He also leaves a brother, Timo Kuusisaari (Ritva), a sister Riitta Liljelund (Erik) both of Finland, a sister Eija Andersson of Sweden, nieces and nephews. A brother Kari Kuusisaari predeceased him in November 2014.
Juha was born in Helsinki, Finland on June 23, 1947 to Erkki and Rakel (Sammalahti) Kuusisaari. He served in the Finnish Navy. Juha came to the United States in 1973 and worked as a jewelry designer and hand engraver for Sharfmans in Worcester, MA. He later opened and operated Ludvigson Jewelers until his retirement in 2007. He was a talented artist and craftsman.

I am so so sorry to the family of Juha and shocked I loved his work and him he was an awesome man. we were both dog lovers and Juha and my husband had the same birthday. just liked talking to him and have not in awhile and now I see why he was so sick. he is a wonderful designer in jewelry I am wearing now a piece he designed. rip Juha and to his family prayers for u all. a wonderful man is now in heaven.

Juha was a GREAT engraver and jeweler but mostly, he was our friend. A fine,good,kind man that will be so missed ! Our sympathy to the family. God bless you at this difficult time.

To Juha's family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I work with Juha at Sharfman's for many years and was astounded by his gift of jewelry design and engraving. When he opened his store in Millbury I had him design a pendant and ring for me. I loved his dry sense of humor. He was always willing to stop what he was doing to answer questions.
