June Foss Obituary

June Eudora Gay (Millward) Foss, 97, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 20, 2009 in Oakdale Rehab. & Skilled Nursing Center. June was a very unique "Lady". She was very talented and played classical music on the piano and organ. Her hobbies were golf and bowling. Her passion was sculpturing and she received many awards from the Art Associations of Harwich, New England Sculpture, Duxbury, Concord, Provincetown and Cordoba. She took lessons from George Arrons and carved directly into stone. June loved the mountains and lakes by her home in upstate New York, flowers and any and all animals. Mostly, she loved her family of 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren. June leaves her 3 children: William Foss and Carol Court of Orange and Avery LaPrade of Keene, NH; a sister, Cora Orsted of Holden; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Wilber Foss, predeceased her. Services for June will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. www.milesfuneralhome.com
