She was a lifelong resident of Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School, Class of 1944 and Ward Business School. While still in high school, she worked for the Department of Labor and Industry at City Hall, later working there as a secretary upon graduation.

Kathleen, known to friends and family as "Kitty," and her late husband, Robert Finn, owned a shop in Northborough, Mass. for many years selling nationwide and specializing in Bob's own designs for weathervanes and colonial reproductions. A devoted mother and homemaker, she also enjoyed her many years at their shop as an active partner with her husband in his many creative endeavors. From 1979 to 1992, she was an executive secretary to the director of the Worcester YWCA.

Kitty was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Guild of Our Lady. She was a Brownie leader and an avid reader. Desiring to share, she learned how to Braille at Temple Emmanuel.

She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She enjoyed travelling especially her several trips to Ireland visiting family in Mayo and Leitrim as a first generation Irish-American.

She leaves her son Brendan Finn and his wife Danielle of Barre, a daughter Eileen Jundzil and her husband William of Bellingham, a sister Ann Gormley of Boca Raton, Fla., granddaughters Lisa Boland of New Ipswich, N.H., and Chelsea Finn of Providence R.I., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Finn, her brother, James Scanlon, and her sister, Marie Scanlon.

The family also wishes to thank the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center for its kind and thoughtful care of Kitty this past year as well as the help of Elder Services of Worcester.

Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home are Sunday, December 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral will be Monday, December 22, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Leicester.

Kitty-- we were 2 peas in a pod. We shared happiness and sadness. We were always there for each other. Our many trips and vacations and your love of Florida are great memories for me. We were miles apart but close in heart. Peace be with you as you join our family in Heaven. As we always said LOVE YOU-ME TOO.
Love, Ann

Dear Brendan and Eileen,
Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved mother. My mother loved the visits to see her cousin,Kathleen, and it was always a special treat to my children when the parrot would talk back during our visits! Kathleen was a compassionate and caring soul who welcomed her Irish cousins with open arms. May she rest in peace.
Love,

I will always remember how kind Kitty was to me and I have wonderful memories that I will always cherish as I remember my visits to her home in Worcester and telephone conversations. It was a special treat when we visited during a trip she made to the San Francisco Bay area. R.I.P. kind lady!

I still remember how welcome she always made me feel at her house, plus her chocolate chip cookies. Rest in peace, Mrs. Finn.

I will always remember my Aunt Kitty as a "giver",
a kind and unselfish person so totally devoted to
my Uncle Bob. I also got to know the Scanlons,
Marie, Jimmy and their father. My exposure to
these solid and warm people as an early adolescent was a blessing I don't forget.

Kitty welcomed my husband & me into her home when we arrived in New England without giving Eileen or Kitty advance notice. What a gracious hostess she always was. She became one of my husband's favorite people. Perhaps they are enjoying a celebration in heaven today.

I have great childhood memories of Kathleen coming to visit on a Sunday afternoon. She would come pulling into the driveway with Marie, usually carrying some wonderful pastry or other goodies, My favorite was the Dunkin' Donuts. She was always so sweet and interested in whatever we were doing. My mom would have been so saddened of her loss as are we. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
