Kathy Thomopoulos Obituary
Clinton - Kathy N. (Iatrou) Thomopoulos, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Deer Creek Healthcare Center in Wimberley, Texas following a brief illness. She is survived by her son Peter Thomopoulos & wife Jennie of Dripping Springs, TX; brother, Steve Iatrou & wife Georgia of Clinton; sister Hariklia Kasiotis of Greece; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Kathy was born in Loganiko, Sparta, Greece to the late John & Angela (Bouzanis) Iatrou. She studied health science and was employed as a nurse for several years before emigrating to the United States. Kathy and her former husband owned and operated several businesses, notably Nikos Market in Clinton for many years. She was a woman of great faith and devout member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Clinton. Kathy was a talented baker who shared her creations with family, friends, and the many she visited in local area nursing homes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Funeral Mass at 11AM in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 123 School St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6-8PM. As a teenager I 'hung' around outside your parents store, when it was cold Niko would let us come inside...we loved it when your mother was working, she loved chatting with us girls. She was a wonderful caring person. Peace be with her and your family
