Kimberly Goodrich Obituary

Kimberly M. Goodrich

Worcester - Kimberly Goodrich, loving mother, daughter, sister and beautiful spirit passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017, after a six-month battle against cancer. She was 46 years young and was surrounded at the end by her adoring family.

Kim was born on April 22, 1971 in Worcester, Massachusetts and was preceded in death by her two brothers, Craig and Clifford Goodrich. She is survived by her children, Andrew K. (Neddo) Goodrich of Worcester; two brothers, Curtis Goodrich II of Worcester and Kristopher Goodrich and his fiancé Deborah Pellegrino; two sisters, Kelley Minier-Espinal of Worcester and Sharon Jackson of Florida and many much-loved nieces and nephews including her nephew Ian Fife, who she had a special bond with.

Kim graduated from St. Mary's Junior / Senior High School and went on and attended Salter College, majoring in accounting graduating with honors. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Brown Square Civic Club where you would see her often playing pitch. This candle is in memory burning as bright as your smile. Kim wasn't only a friend, Kim was family, along with my niece and nephew, Allison, and Andrew. I love you and send my sympathies to you two and the rest of the family. This is not goodbye as my faith says we will all be reunited.

Allison, Andrew, Janio, Sandra, Curt, Kelly, and rest of family, iam so deeply sorry to hear about Kim. She was an awesome person, who's smile could brighten your darkest day. I remember years ago when alli and Andrew were small, going with the kids Kim and Uncle Leon to hubardston flea market and yard sales, all to find Cow stuff lol. She was obsessed with cows, lime the whole kitchen on Douglas was cow's lol. Lucian st redoing that apt for them. Many fun times at Pete's. Allison and Drew was her life she lived them with all of her. Kim will be deeply missed by anyone she came in contact with, and loved by everyone who knew her. If there's anything at all I can do for any of y'all, please let me know. Alli and Andrew I wish I could take this away, but as I learned losing my Dad it's a daily process. We have to remember they live on within us, and are always watching. Over us. While I won't say goodbye, I'll say Kim r.i.p until we meet again.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My prayers and condolences goes out to Kim's family. I didn't get to know her very long, moved next door to her and Andrew just last year, but Kim was very kind when greeting me and very nice to talk to when seeing each other in passing. I'm honored to have been able to meet and befriend a wonderful neighbor. May she rest peacefully.

To The Goodrich Family,
I am sorry for your loss. When I learned of Kim's passing I was shocked and saddened. We were friends in high school and reconnected a few years back and thanks to social media we kept in touch. She had a beaming smile and a fighting attitude that is why this was such a shock! She was so optimistic and fought hard. Now she is at peace.
