Libra M. Zolla, 89

SHREWSBURY - Libra M. (Mastrorio) "Lee" Zolla, longtime resident of Shrewsbury died peacefully in her home on Friday April 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Early) Mastrorio and was educated in the Worcester Schools. Lee later met the man of her dreams and her best friend, Vincent A. Zolla, who would become her husband for the next 56 years before he died in 2008. Together they raised their children in Shrewsbury where she lived for over 56 years.

Lee enjoyed working as a secretary for Spag's for over 32 years before she retired in 1992. When not working, you would find Lee enjoying quality time with her family and friends that she deeply loved or just spending a beautiful sunny day on Cape Cod. She also cherished her peaceful time at Saint Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury.

Lee is survived by her daughter Nancy L. Washkevich and her husband Stephen of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren, Jennifer Washkevich of Waltham, Elizabeth Harrison and her husband Tom of Woburn, Amanda Howell and her husband Ryan of Foxboro, Joshua and Vincent Zolla of Maine; three great grandchildren, Keira and Rylee Howell and Isabelle Harrison; also survived by a sister, Margaret "Peg" Leonard of Sterling and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband Lee was predeceased by a son, Paul V. Zolla who passed in 2003; a brother, Michael Mastrorio and two sisters, Catherine Battista and Grace Marzziotti.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lee's family on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be on Wednesday April 10, 2019 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 am at Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main St, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial contribution may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481or to VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
