Lillian M. (Aramento) Belmonte, 86
SHREWSBURY - Lillian M. (Aramento) Belmonte, 86, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Friday, June 29, in the Knollwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Oresto J. Belmonte, died April 27, 2011.
Lillian was born in Worcester , the daughter of the late Matteo and Concetta (Chilberta) Aramento, and lived in Shrewsbury most of her life. She was an avid swimmer at the YWCA for many years, and also loved to cook, crochet, and knit. She and Oresto loved spending time in their home and vacationing every summer with their family on Cape Cod. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lillian was a beautiful person, both inside and out and will be missed by her family and friends. Lillian was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Shrewsbury and also attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church.
Lillian is survived by her loving children, Elaine (Charles) Inman of Winter Haven, FL; Janice (Carl) Guyer of Southborough; and Robert (Robin) Belmonte of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Kimberly (Jack) Jeffares, Jonathan Kennedy, Emily Guyer, Matthew Inman, Curtis and Leigh Belmonte; seven great grandchildren, Jackson, Cole, Drew, Miles and Owen Jeffares and Isabella and Harper Kennedy. Lillian is also survived by her sister, Josephine Giacobbe, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Belmonte, who died in 1990; a brother, Louis Aramento; and four sisters, Santa Campanale, Rae Ferrazzano, Mary Borgatti, and Filomena Bartolomei.
Lillian's funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at 11 am with a funeral mass in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St.Ann, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Calling hours will be Monday, July 2 at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Ln., Suite B, Centennial, CO, 80112.
