Louis "Pudgy" Leo Jr. obituary, Danbury, CT

Louis Leo Obituary

Louis F. Leo, Jr., lovingly known as "Pudgy", died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, July 30, 2010. He was born in Putnam on August 12, 1947, beloved son of Alice (Bednarz) Leo of Thompson and the late Louis F. Leo, Sr.

In addition to his mother Alice, he will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Nancy Leo of Thompson and Rose Leo of Putnam.

He was passionate about the Red Sox, his yellow Corvette, and enjoyed nothing more than spending quiet times on his boat with his dogs CoCo and Patches. Pudgy was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Pudgy was a man of few words, possessor of a silent strength which carried him through his final days. His love for the Red Sox was only surpassed by the love he had for his family, never complaining. A gifted athlete, either wagering or participating. Be assured he will be present in spirit at all Red sox or Patriot games.

"Catch ya lata lil' brother."

In lieu of flowers, please look for Pudge at the next game, he'll be sitting right beside you.

Please attend the graveside service held on Sat., Aug. 7th at the West Thompson Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Alice, Rose and Nancy, My deepest sympathy is with you on your loss. I remember years ago, when the first sign of spring was Pudgy and his corvette. Right now, Daddy, Snuffy and Pudgy have one hell of a card game going on complete with a ball game blaring and a round of buds. His love will be with you always.

Nancy, You and your family have our deepest sympathy. Pudgy was a wonderful man, when my Dad was sick he was one of few who would call and check on "pops" or come to visit him when he was up this way. I like to think that they are together now, betting on a horse or giving it to Snuffy about the Yankees maybe sharing a bud. He will always be with you.
