Anna Sutton Obituary
Born January 8, 1926 in Jackson County, NC, she was the daughter of Samuel Winston Jennings and Clara Moss Jennings.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Sutton retired from MCR, Inc. She was a hard worker that enjoyed traveling, sewing, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Mrs. Sutton also loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended First Baptist Church of Mebane prior to moving to Burlington.
Survivors include her son Mike Sutton (Donna) of Gibsonville; daughters, Carolyn S. Ingold (Larry) of Snow Camp and Marilyn S. Phillips (Dale) of Burlington; grandchildren, Brian D. Phillips (Tracy), Glenda Perreault (Gerard), Steven M. Sutton; great-grandchildren, Alex and Chris Phillips, Joey and Natalie Perreault; sisters-in-law, Opal Dillard of Mebane, Mary Buchanan (Dan) of Sylva, Moqueta Sutton of Rock Hill, SC; and special friends, Wayne and Maxine Payne.
Mrs. Sutton was predeceased by her parents; husband, Glenn M. Sutton; daughter, Glenda Ann Sutton; and four siblings.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Wednesday from 12 until 12:45 p.m..
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, with Pastor Mark Mitchell presiding.
Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, also in Mebane.
Serving as pallbearers are Dean, Brian, Alex and Chris Phillips, Gerrard and Joey Perreault, Steven Sutton and Wayne Payne.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Blakey Hall in Elon for the care Mrs. Sutton was shown while she resided there.

Carolyn, Marilyn and Mike....my deepest condolences to you and your families. Your mom was one of the kindest, sweetest people i ever knew. Her, your Dad and all of you made our transition to Mebane so much easier to bear. She will be remembered fondly as a dear friend to my Mom as well as us. My love and prayers to you all.

We were saddened to hear of Bells' passing and want you to know you are in our prayers. I keep thinking of that wonderful picture Glenda posted and the joy in Joeys' face as he sat there with her ... proof that she was truly loved by all of you, right down to your younger ones. Just as with Mikes' Daddy and our babies, I hope you can find comfort in knowing that she will still be remembered with fondness and love, long after we too, have left this earth. Please know we will be thinking of you tomorrow and in the days to come as you work your way around the pain of this sad loss in your lives. Good-byes are so hard.
