Lou was my very first teacher in labor and delivery back in 1979. She put me under her wing and taught me in such a way that I fell in love with sharing in the experience of new parenthood with my patients. I spread my wings but her influence remained with me over the past 37 years. I am back to my small community roots in L&D and my only daughter is also enjoying labor and delivery! Thanks Lou for sharing your love and passion with others, it has been a positive and rewarding career with your help. You will be greatly missed.....Dorinne Roberge

My aunt was an amazing nurse, I am so very thankful that she was there for the birth of my two children. I don't know if I could have done it without her. She actually made me my focal point and never left my side. She also was the one who helped me when I could not breast feed, I was feeling so guilty and she made me feel so good about giving my son formula . When my daughter was born I don't know who was more excited because there hadn't been a girl born into the family in a long time. She would come to my room every day and count the dresses to see if I had a new ones. I am so glad she was able to come to my daughters wedding, I will truly miss her. God speed. Love you
