Mark R. Harris, 61

SHREWSBURY - Mark R. Harris, 61, of Shrewsbury died peacefully on Friday October 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family in the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. Mark's warm smile, sound advice and loving character touched all that knew him in a very special way. Truly, to know Mark was to love him.

He was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, son of the late George (Bob) R. Harris. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1974 attended Brown University and later graduated from Bentley University summa cum laude with a business degree in 1978.

Mark started his working career at Honeywell and Bull HN Information Systems. For the past 23 years he has worked for Fidelity Investments in finance and most recently as the Director of Marketing.

He leaves his loving wife of 5 years, Nancy L. (Liljegren) Harris; his children, Robert P. Harris, Erin D. Castelli and Bryan M. Harris; three step children, Jennifer B. McKnight, Kimberly P. Cosky and Robert W. Hardy; two great grandchildren, Braiden & Liam McKnight; his mother, Lorraine (Potvin) Harris of Shrewsbury; a brother Christopher Harris; a sister Deborah MacLean; and two nephews, Matthew & Kevin MacLean.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mark's family on Wednesday October 18, 2017 from 4-8 pm in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street Shrewsbury. His funeral Mass will be on Thursday October 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be held privately at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery.
