Martin Leonard Obituary
CHARLTON - Martin J. Leonard Jr., 47, of Charlton died unexpectedly Saturday October 13, 2012 in Foster R.I. doing what he loved, riding his Motorcycle. Marty leaves his parents Martin and Josephine (Stumpo) Leonard of Charlton, his three children; Martin J.3rd Patrick, and Mikayla all of whom lived with him, and his wife Tracy (Jacques) Leonard. Marty is also survived by his loving sisters; Maria (Leonard) McMenemy and her husband William Jr.of Charlton, Marci Leonard and her companion Gabe Messina of Charlton, and Michelle (Leonard) Bousquet, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends Traci and Frank Manzi of Charlton, and the Jennings family.
Martin was born in Worcester and raised in Charlton. He was a Graduate of Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School. Marty was the founder and owner of the MJ Leonard & Sons Company of Charlton, specializing in HVAC. Marty was a member of the Auburn Elks for many years, and attended St. Josephs Church. He loved being with his family, and also enjoyed boating and snowmobiling. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Rest in peace "Marty the one man party!"
Marty's funeral will be held Friday October 19,2012 at 11:00AM in the Church of St Joseph 10 H Putnam Rd Ext. Charlton City. Calling hours will be held IN THE CHURCH on Thursday October 18, from 4PM to 7PM. Burial will be in Westridge Cemetery, Charlton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in care of Marci Leonard and sent to the Southbridge Savings Bank 200 Charlton Rd. Sturbridge, MA.01566 All Marty's family and friends are invited to a reception which will be held after the burial at the Auburn Elks.

dearest leonard family, I can not say how sorry i am i just found out and all i can think is what the world has lost a true friend , great dad ,loveing son , i have known marty since I wsa 6 following him around when he did his paper route . he was the big brother i had always dreamed for he was my best friend growing up when he learned to drive a car I was there when he did silly stupid stuff we did it together with kenny we were like the 3 muskateers grtowing up in the neighborhood my dad always talked fondly of him and brian and phil to know there together is some comfort . Marty , i learned of your passing yesterday words cannot express my grief . i had known you since i was 6 years old and used to follow you thru the neighborhood when you did your paper route . i grew up with you and kenny as my best friends driving snowmobiles , dirt bikes and getting into tons of trouble, I have so many memories of you and all the fun we had as kids , I will never forget ypu im so sorry I was not there to say goodbye . I have so many fun memories of Marty as a teenager and hadn't seen him in years but I had a chance some time ago to sit and talk with him for a few hours. We laughed about all the mischief him and Brian used to get into and out of for that matter. We talked about all lifes adventures and journeys since high school and how happy he was... but most of all he was so very proud of his family and all that he had accomplished. Marty's memory will forever live in my heart. His smile will never be forgotten.
