Martin Motian Obituary

Mr. Martin P. Motian, age 81, of Ocean Springs, MS., died peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2007, in Ocean Springs.

Mr. Motian was a native and lifelong resident of Worcester, MA., and had lived in Ocean Springs for the past four years. He was a self-employed painting contractor for many years in Worcester. Mr. Motian was an avid gardner and woodworker, who enjoyed fishing and playing slot machines. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Motian. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Motian; a daughter, Mary Motian, both of Ocean Springs, MS.; a son, Michael Motian of Hardwick, MA.; numerous nieces and nephews.

On Wednesday, November 7, 2007, there will be an 11 AM Memorial Service at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. View and sign register book at

Marty was born and brought up in Clinton. I remember him as a friend when we were both kids in St. John's School. God rest his gentle soul.
