Mary (Rodominick) Barnes, 95

SOUTH GRAFTON - Mary (Rodominick) Barnes, 95, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2014, at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 2, 1919, in Middletown, CT, Mary was the daughter of Edward and Julia (Chmura) Rodoniewicz. Mary was a long-time resident of South Grafton and a member of Saint James Parish. She attended Grafton Public Schools and worked at local mills before raising her family.

Mary is survived by her three daughters: Judith Barnes Gosselin, and her husband Richard, of North Grafton; Janice Barnes Webb, and her husband David, of Grants Pass, OR; and Joyce Barnes McGourty, and her husband William, of Worcester. Mary also leaves seven grandchildren, Kerri Gosselin Vensel and Lori Gosselin; Brendan and Kyle Webb; Colleen, Julianne, and Matthew McGourty; and her great-granddaughter Cora Mae Vensel. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Arthur W. Barnes, and by her brother, Stanley Rodominick.

Mary will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, loving disposition, and incredible devotion to her family. She loved children, enjoyed cooking Polish food, camping, and square dancing.

All are invited to join in celebration of Mary's life at a funeral mass on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 10:30 AM at St. James Church, 89 Main Street, South Grafton, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery. To the special Barnes girls...You were blessed to have had such a great mother..but then you already know that. Not only did she excel in that career but was equally aware and kind to all those around her. I think of her so often and consider each thought as a prayer for her.

Hi Judy and family, I just read of your Mom's passing and was very sorry to hear that. She was a great lady and I always enjoyed our time together.
