Mary Fitzpatrick Obituary

Mary E. Fitzpatrick, 70, of 190 Spring Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Tuesday, October 18th 2011 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.

She was born in Gardner on January 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Sullivan) Fitzpatrick and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. She graduated from Murdock High School and Framingham State College.

Ms. Fitzpatrick was a teacher in the Winchendon Public School System for 33 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, a life member of the Winchendon Historical Society and the Antique Toy Collectors of America. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and antiques.

She leaves her husband, Joseph P. "Phil" Bourgeois and stepchildren: Faye Wheeler and Brian Bourgeois of Winchendon, Phillis Johnson of Gardner and Gaynor Bourgeois of Washington DC; nieces and nephews: Kelly Fitzpatrick of Winchendon, James Fitzpatrick of Lowell, Bridgid Fitzpatrick of Tewksbury and Ryan Fitzpatrick of Lowell. Two brothers: John and James Fitzpatrick, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25th from Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, October 24th from 6 to 8 P.M.

Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to Winchendon Historical Society, 151 Front Street, PO Box 279, Winchendon, MA 01475.
