Max Rothstein Obituary
Worcester - Max L. Rothstein, 92, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born in Worcester on September 22, 1923, son of the late Benjamin and Rachel (Mizess) Rothstein and has lived here all his life.
His wife, Barbara (Hersh) Rothstein, predeceased him in 2012. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Ellen B. Rothstein in 1995, and three brothers, Irving and Louis Rothstein, and most recently his brother, Milton Rothstein predeceased him this past July.
Max is survived by his son, Andrew E. Rothstein of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; two brothers in law, Allan Hersh of Worcester, and David Hersh and his wife Florence in Florida; a sister in law, Beverly Rothstein of Framingham; nieces and nephews.
He operated Jobbers Outlet in Marlborough for many years, before he retired.
The family would like to thank all of the kind people at Jewish Healthcare Center, for their caring, compassionate, and loving care of Max.
A private memorial service is being planned.

You don't know me but I met your dad at the Jewish Home. My mom was a resident there also..we became friends there. He always came over to see my mom and myself and had some funny stories we shared...I will miss him and that NY Yankee Hat! I too lost my mom on the 16th of July..I am sorry for your loss and hold on to the happy memories because that's all we have now...RIP Max..hugs and kisses to you

Andy,
I will always remember Max's wonderfully witty sense of humor and kind demeanor. Time and distance can never change the bond we all shared on Rydal Street. Your loss is a loss for all of us who grew up together with loving parents in a neighborhood that was truly one big family.
