Michael Gallagher Obituary
He leaves his wife of 2 1/2 years, Rebecca L. (Bergeron) Gallagher; his father, James S. Gallagher and his wife Joyce (Hicks) Gallagher of Whitinsville; two brothers, James C. Gallagher and his wife Robin of Hudson, Ohio and Scott P. Gallagher and his wife Jean of Jefferson; three sisters, Deborah A. Mathon of Winston-Salem, NC, Lisa M. Fuller and her husband Stephen of Hampton Falls, NH and Melissa J. Gallagher of Worcester; and nine nephews and nieces. His mother, Theresa R. (Brassard) Gallagher of Holden, died in 1998. He was born in Holden and lived here most of his life.
Michael was a 1982 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. He was a material handler for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Westborough for 18 years. Previously he worked in Worcester at area printing shops. He enjoyed spending time with his many nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 29th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral for Michael will be held on Tuesday from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital Trust, 1 Autumn St. #731, Boston, MA 02215-5301.

Rebecca we are truly sorry for the loss of Mike. He was the kind of person that you never forget. He was kind hearted, loyal, fun to be with, he was one in a million. We were so happy that he finally found someone to be with and that cared for him just as much as very one else did. He and all that loved him our in our thought and prayers.

It was a pleasure to have known Mike as both a colleague and a friend. He treated everyone in a gentlemanly manner and would do anything to help anyone. Mike was the type of person that will be truly missed by all. As a coworker you couldn't ask for better. He was always helpful, dependable and reliable. A pleasure to have on your team. As a friend he was even nicer. Truly a person who would give you the shirt off his back. And as a family member and husband he was the greatest. I heard many of his stories about his family and I could tell how loving and caring he was. We will miss you, Mike. I will miss you.
