I had the pleasure of getting to know Jim in the youth softball leagues in Shrewsbury. He was just a tremendous person who was so unselfish with his time. He was the guy who would help the other teams pitcher during a game and not think twice about. He will be missed for all of his contributions to our community. My condolences to his wife and kids in this difficult time.

My condolences to Mary, Shannon & Megan as well as Scotty & Michelle. I am still truly crushed and having a hard expressing my true feelings. Jimbo was a man larger then life itself. We met in the late 80's playing on the same DEC softball team. We instantly bonded from softball, flag football, fantasy football, golfed my 1st round ever with him, as my softball coach, mentor and co-worker. As well as the occasional social gathering at Sully's, the Dragon, the softball field and as of recent his outdoor cabana. The Hurricanes 1998 National championship was icing on the cake for all of us that were with him. Not going to be the same without the life of the party around! RIP Jimbo

My deepest condolences for your loss. I worked with Jim for many years in Hudson and please know he was the best combination of technical expert, coach, prankster, team player, cheerleader and friend. He would do anything for anyone...he even help me reinstall the headlight on my car one winter! Jim will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him and will always be remembered with a full heart.

I'm a colleague of Jim's based in Ireland. I have to say that in my 20 year Intel career I never met anyone like him. He seemed to know absolutely everyone. This was because Jim was the type of man who would always go out of his way to make a friend or to help where he could. I think he may well have been one of the best known and most popular men in our entire part of the company. I have to say also that Jim's popularity was not just down to his ability to make friends. Jim was a great engineer and a real professional. So, I wanted to pass along condolences on behalf of everyone who knew Jim at Intel Ireland. He's a big loss and we were all shocked and very sad to hear the news of his passing.

Please know your husband and father was loved by many. I knew Jim only about 6-7 years and in that time he became a dear friend. I enjoyed talking sports and and listening to music with him I can't believe I'll never get to see that smile or have him ask me what projects I was working on again. I hope the girls get save all these posts to know how much their father was loved

We were so shocked to hear of Jim's passing at such a young age. Loved Jim's outgoing personality, can do attitude and dry sense of humor. Will always remember summer visits to the house with Jim, the chef, cooking out clams and lobster for the families in the back yard by the pool. Our deepest sympathy to my sister Mary and nieces Shannon and Megan.

Mary, Shannon, Megan, Scott and Michelle - there are no words to express the depth of my sorrow at the loss of my good friend Jimbo. This man was the primary reason why the Hurricanes became National Champions in Men's Class A softball in 1998, and I was privileged to be a part of that team and others that Jim put together. Whether it was softball, golf or a social occasion, Jimmy brought his unique blend of humor and wit that everyone loved. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and we will never forget him.

Mary, Shannon, Megan, Scott and Michelle - Chris and I are truly shocked and heartbroken to hear about Jimbo. He was a true friend, co-worker, and my teammate in countless softball, flag football and golf matches and tournaments. Jimbo was sometimes bigger than life and just plain FUN all the time. He was a wonderful human being. He led a bunch of guys from various softball leagues and towns to a National Championship in1998. Pitching a final game gem himself to win it for us. Other people contributed to the Canes success but I can guarantee you we would never have even been there if not for Jimbo. We send our deepest sympathies and condolences to you all. Dear Mary, Shannon and Megan -
I'm so sorry for your loss. I was heartbroken to hear about Jim's passing. He was truly a good friend to me and so many others and I will never forget his thoughtfulness and generosity. I have fond memories of watching UCONN, BoSox, Bruins, Celtics down in the basement or out at the pool, the March Madness bracket sheets, fantasy football draft, talking about how to safely fry a turkey and painting houses. He would mow the neighbor's lawn and plow their driveway, find people jobs, put in a good word to get you hired, buy you lunch, find you a roommate or offer you to stay at his house instead of sleeping in an RV. He was the best boss-coworker-technical-expert-"i'll find you a contact" (because I know everybody) guy I've ever had and am glad to have had the pleasure to know him. I will never forget Michael James (Jimbo) McKay.
