Dear Deb, I just heard of Mike's passing today. I am so very, very sorry. It was always a pleasure working for and with Mike. He was always caring and supportive and put the needs of our students first. In our retirement years I always enjoyed running into him at Seabra's and giving him lessons about chestnuts or Italian cooking. I always considered Mike a good friend and he will be missed.

When I think of Mike, I remember him as a supportive leader. He was always readily available to his staff and more importantly he knew the children of Smithfield and was aware of their needs. He put them first. I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn Cafferty
