Nicholas Sundeen Obituary
DOUGLAS - Nicholas S. Sundeen, 23, of Douglas, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at home.
He was employed at Sundeen Furniture in Northbridge and was attending Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
A lifelong resident of Douglas, Mr. Sundeen was born November 15, 1989 in Worcester, son of Scott H. and Cheryl A. (Pawlowski) Sundeen of Douglas. He was a graduate of Holy Name High School in Worcester in 2008.
Nicholas possessed a magnetic personality and loved being with family and friends. He was a member of the Singletary Rod & Gun Club in Sutton, enjoyed spending summers on the Cape Cod Canal, and attending the races at the Thompson International Speedway in Connecticut. He enjoyed all sports including paintball, fishing, football, and was an avid Celtics fan.
In addition to his parents, Scott and Cheryl, he is survived by a brothe,r Jason C. Sundeen of Douglas; the love of his life, Kristine M. Jones of Douglas; his paternal grandmother, Carole E. Sundeen of Auburn; his maternal grandmother, Janice K. Pawlowski of Hopedale; his maternal grandfather, Edward J. and his wife Janet Pawlowski of Whitinsville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Henry Sundeen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Denis Church, 27 Manchaug St., Douglas. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Central St., Auburn.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 from 4-8 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
Memorial donations in Nicholas' memory may be made to an animal charity or a sportsman club of one's choice.

My son Matthew Dion graduated with your son from Holy Name in 2008. We are all shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your precious son. Matthew has fond memories of Nick's vivacious personality and positive disposition. As a parent it is hard to even fathom the pain your family must be going through. To Nick's family...
My son Mark met Nick at Holy Name, they were close friends and I know that Nick brought him much joy and helped him through many struggles... for that I will be forever grateful to him and for his friendship with my son. Mark nicknamed him "Sunbeam" and anyone who knew him, surely knew why.
I had the pleasure of meeting Nick on several occassions - what a ray of light he was, funny, kind, caring, simply a joy to be around.
We cannot imagine what you are all going through, it's been difficult for us to comprehend/believe. Please know that there are many people whom you do not even know who loved Nick dearly and we are all praying for you to somehow get through this. He is watching over you and will be by your side each and every day, and will carry you when you need him - he was like that, we know this.
We wish there was something more we could do to help ease your pain, all we can do is pray... and we will.
"To live in the hearts of those who love us is never to die..." - Nick's light will burn brightly in the hearts of those who loved him and therefore he will live on forever.
