Pamela Daniels Obituary
DUDLEY - Sergeant Pamela Daniels ,58 died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Harrington Hospital-Hubbard of Webster after being stricken ill during a training exercise at Nichols College. Ms. Daniels was born in Southbridge, MA. She is the daughter of Robert Daniels and the late Teresa (Matteau) Daniels.
She is survived by ; her father Robert Daniels of Dudley, two brothers: Ret. Officer Gregory Daniels and his wife Janice of Webster and their daughter Tara .
Geary Daniels and his wife Mary of Dudley and their children Megan , Ryan ,Maura, Justin and Taylor. Her grand nephew Grayson
Her brother-in-law, Joseph Gadoury and his son Brian.
Predeceased by her sister, Deborah Daniels in 2013 and her mother Teresa (Matteau) Daniels in 2006.
Pamela was the first and only female member of the Dudley Police Dept. she served as DARE Officer and Liaison Officer for the court system and obtained the rank Sergeant in 2002. After 34 years of dedicated service to the Town of Dudley she retired in August of 2012. She was currently employed by Nichols College in the public safety dept. She graduated with her bachelors from Western New England College and received her Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College in 1999. Pam lived in Dudley all her life and will be remembered as a loving daughter a caring sister and a devoted police officer.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster . Burial of her ashes will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial calling hours will be Monday, August 31 from 6 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassionate Care ALS PO Box 1052 West Falmouth Ma 02574 www.ccals.org.

My Heart and Prayers go out to all. I just today learned of Pams passing. I am a Retired Southbridge D.A.R.E. Officer,I did enjoy our talks from her first day on Patrol. We would talk at the Town line many times. One night she said she did not have the money to buy a rain coat, I took off my rain coat and gave it to her and said anything I can do to help just ask and I will do it. One day she called and asked for some help,she said she wanted to be a D.A.R.E. Officer but the class was full. I called Friends in charge of the D.A.R.E. training school and they said they would make room for her. They called me often while she was there ,and she was a great D.A.R.E. officer. To the family of Pam...She was such a great help to our school during field days and our neighborhood parties talking to the kids about safety. Comfort can be found in the fact that Pam was surrounded by those she loved most during her passing, her family and DPD family, and that she is now reunited with her mother and sister. The family can find great pride in her impact on the citizens of Dudley and the great stories being shared all around town. We will all miss her waves, hugs, and understanding ways.

So sad to hear about her passing. She was a positive role model in my life as well as many others. Her mom was my bus driver all the way up till high school as well. I met her before I was even a teen (I'm 33 now) when she taught DARE. she always tried to streer me in the right direction when I caused trouble, listened, and gave me the best advice and didn't judge me not once EVER!! Generous with hugs and made sure she always had the time to catch up with me when we crossed each other's paths as I grew older. I'm sad I'm not around to pay my respects but a prayer will be said for sure.
