Paul Bangs Obituary
He was born on May 9, 1928, in West Tisbury, Mass., the son of Paul B. and Adelaide (Downs) Bangs. He was educated in horology (clock making) at Bradley College in Peoria, Ill., and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
On Nov. 11, 1948, he married Dorothy Perkins in Bedford, Mass. He worked as heliarc welder and owned his own business "Boondock Welding" in Douglas, Mass., for many years.
His family was his pride and joy and family gatherings were his greatest pleasure. He loved to laugh and make other people laugh. He was a member of the Masons and the Livermore Falls Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy of Livermore Falls; two daughters, Jeanette MacDonald and her husband, Ross, of Livermore, Maine and Allison O'Brien and her partner, Scott Harper of Norton, Mass.; a son, Paul L. Bangs and his wife Sharon, of Charlton, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Megan, Aaron, and Jill MacDonald, Jenny Galvez and Jason Bangs.
He was predeceased by a sister, Adelaide Urquhart and a brother, Stewart A. Bangs.

Dear Mrs. Bangs,
I was quite saddened to hear the passing of Mr. Bangs. I have such great memories of Mr. Bangs. Both of you were so great to my mom and you were a big part of my childhood. I hope he finds Peggy soon and that they have as much fun as you all did then.
