Dear Bev and the Daoust Family,
Thank you for sharing Paul with us. He'd been my family's accountant for decades and business accountant for my husband and me. Paul actually made doing taxes fun. We enjoyed his jokes and stories, his collection of little cars, his sincere interest in what we'd been up to that year. He always took time to update us on you, his beloved family, and show off his family photos. He enjoyed showing us whatever techno gadget he'd acquired, never afraid to try something new while bringing a lifetime of expertise and excellence to his work. While we weren't Paul's biggest clients, he always made us feel important and valued. No question was too basic. He shared his time and insights freely. Earlier this year, I'd emailed Paul with a tax question. He answered from his smartphone on the beach, joking that “Someone's gotta do it.” Every time we'd leave his office, I'd remark, “There's a class act. A man on top of his game. A real pro.” We knew with Paul we'd be OK. Paul embodied what it means to be of service to your community. He inspires us to do so in our businesses and our lives. We are so very sorry for your loss and ours. Sincerely, Heidi LaFleche and Greg Passler

Dear Bev and family,

I had the privledge of serving on the Charlton Finance Committee with Paul. He was a top notch, class act person. Charlton is a better community because of him. With deep sadness and sympathy over his passing.

November 4, 2012

Dear Bev, Chris and Tom,
Paul was a wondeful accountant and unlike most, I always enjoyed tax time because I knew that I would get to spend an hour or two with Paul. We would always spend most of the time talking about life and families rather than business. Oh, and the jokes, I alaays had to have a joke prepared because I knew Paul would have one too. I would tell mine and we'd laugh, and then Paul would tell his, they were always funnier, and we'd laugh like little kids, sometimes until we had tears in our eyes. His smile and laugh were infectious. Most of all we loved to talk cars. His 64 impala was impeccable and he would beam when he spoke about it. I just took the 69 Camaro out of a ten year slumber yesterday. You know the car very well and why it was in storage. My very first thought as I was loading it on the trailer to bring it home was that as soon as I had it running again I was going to bring it down to show you. I'm so sad to hear of Paul's passing. I will alaways remember him as the true gentleman and delightful and intelligent person that he was.

Very sadly,

Ernie Volke

Beverly and Family - got a big kick out of Paul! He loved his cars and although we did not spend a ton of time with him, we really liked him - really good man - what a nice guy! He was always very fond of Big Fran Quinn and sent a wonderful message to us when Fran passed. We are deeply saddened by your loss and pray that God embraces all of you during your time of grief. My dear Bev- It seems that there are no special or healing words to offer during such a time as this - the very most sad and difficult time you are going through. I've known you and Paul for most of my life, and I am so deeply saddened to know of your loss. I was so very touched to see that you have directed donations to CHIP-IN, considering the ties my dad and my family had to it. You are so very much in my thoughts - I wish that I were able to wipe away your tears, Bev. All my best to you and your family as you travel through this most difficult chapter in your lives. With much love, Tina (Worster) Augeri

It is with sadness that I/we honor Paul's life. In high school he was a gentleman and it would seem that he continued to be a gentleman. Surely his fine family speaks for him. On behalf of myself and the Class of 1959 at DPHS we offer our condolences.
