Paul S. Edwards, 77
WORCESTER - Paul S. Edwards, 77, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Paula (Finkel) Edwards; his daughter, Shelly Schweizer and her husband John Schweizer of Ashland; two sons, Jeffrey Edwards and his husband Gary Cheatham of New York, NY and Mitchell Edwards and his partner Pericles Rellas of Porter Ranch, CA; and two grandchildren, Eric and Hayley Schweizer both of Ashland.
Paul was born in Worcester in 1935 the son of the late Alice and Fred O'Brien. He graduated from Commerce High School and attended Clark University. He was president of General Wire Products Co., Inc., a family owned and operated business. Paul was a longtime member of the Leica Historical Society and a collector of cameras and photographic equipment. He was also an avid reader of mysteries and thrillers and enjoyed classic films.
A private memorial service will be held by his immediate family. Memorial donations in Paul's name may be directed to UMMF-Cancer Center of Excellence, in honor of Dr. William Walsh and mailed to UMass Medicine Development Office, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
