Paul Gilmartin Obituary

Paul Bernard Gilmartin, Sr., 86 of Port Charlotte, Florida and Falmouth, Massachusetts passed away August 1, 2008. He was born January 19, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Louise (Holmquist) and Bernard Gilmartin.

Mr. Gilmartin was the former owner of Gilmartin Plumbing and Heating in Worcester. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks and former President of the Master Plumbers Association of Worcester. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte and a member of St. Patrick's Church in Falmouth.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Ann; children, Paul and his wife Maria of Amherst, N.H; Diane and her husband Bob Collette of Windsor, CT; Richard and his wife Janet of Hull, MA; Daniel and his wife Joan of Truro, MA; Kevin of Braintree, MA sister, Barbara De Marco of GA; brothers, John of Worcester, MA; Bernard of Stuart, FL; William of Falmouth, MA; Richard of Aurora Ontario, Canada; Edward of Auburn, MA; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert.

Memorial services will be held Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Falmouth, MA. Graveside services will be Monday, August 18, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts Memorial donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth, MA. 02540.
