Dear Gail, Bill and family. As you know our friendship with Pete dates back to before the days of Paul Revere. We have many fond memories of him. I know one of Gerry's is the Sunday football games they played together. He still has the trophy their team won in 1974. I personally always credited him with changing my life. If it hadn't been for him setting up my first interview at Paul Revere, I probably would never have applied there. He was a friend in the true sense of the word. Our hearts go out to you at this very sad time. Joan & Gerry Baumgartner

To the Spence family,I was saddened to hear of Pete's passing. He will be greatly missed. He was quite a guy, as well as an accomplished athlete. I could never beat him at golf. As a representative of the IBM Corp. I had the pleasure of working with Pete and Bill at Paul Revere in the 60's and 70's. May pleasant memories and the peace of our Lord comfort you during these dificult times. Sincerely, Jim Gray

To all of Pete’s family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Just a little over 28 years ago, fresh out of high school, I started working for Paul Revere Insurance Company in the Computer room nights. Pete was my manager then and often I would borrow one of his “ties” so I could fill in for the day-shift. Pete was fair and down to earth and provided me with many opportunities to advance my career. Later in my career, I had the opportunity and honor to work with Pete as a fellow programmer and team-mate. Pete will always be in our hearts and memories.

Dear Gail, Bill and family - Pete was a ray of sunshine to me. He was so full of life and a joy to be around. He was unique, one of kind, and whenever I think of PR, I remember with a smile all the fun times we had. When I started my first programming job, Pete was a mentor to me. Someone I could go to for anything. He was so patient and supportive and taught me so much. He loved to help others and make them smile. Outside of work, he encouraged me to bowl in the candlepin bowling league. I was so terrible but Pete always encouraged me and made things fun. I still recall my surprise when he presented me with the trophy for 'most improved' bowler. I could go on forever with examples of how Pete brought joy to everyone around him. He had the biggest heart - and I am so blessed to have known him. It is a comfort to think of him in heaven, he will make a difference up there as he did here on earth and the stars will shine more brightly with Pete in our heavens. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my deepest sympathy.

My greatest sympathies to "Pete's" family. I worked with Pete for many years at Paul Revere. He was always a "happy-go-lucky" kind of guy and was willing to do anything for anyone. When he worked for me as a computer programmer, he was an expert at fixing problems, knowing the right people to get things done and coming into the office at anytime during the night to make those fixes. Pete was a guy I enjoyed working with very much and I thank him for all he has done.

Melissa and family,
Please know that you are in my prayers. What all of you did for your Dad was special to him and he is at peace knowing that family and love surrounded him. Let time and memories heal all of you.
Fondly,
Charlene
