Paul Wynant Obituary

Paul A. Wynant

Webster - Paul A. Wynant, age 60, of Webster left this world on May 23 under the care of the wonderful people of Saint Vincent Hospital and Beacon Hospice.

Paul was born on September 20,1957 at Brockton Hospital to Marion & Hobart Wynant. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1975 and attended 2 years at Massaoit Community College, Brockton.

He found his true calling in 1990 when he became an EMT and performed that job proudly for the next 27 years. He joined Northbridge Fire Department as an on call firefighter/EMT in 1993 and remained there until moving to Webster in 2001. In 2008 he joined the Webster Fire Department and served for 5 years.

Paul had a zest for life and the outdoors, he loved canoeing with his wife, his bird feeding station and camping. He celebrated his 60th birthday hiking a portion of the Mid State Trail with his 23 year old son, a trip he had meticulously planned for a year. He loved his New England teams, sharing his Patriot knowledge with his daughter. Attending a Bruins game with her in January, his birthday gift.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Lori (Briere) Wynant, his daughter Nicole Roy and his son, Cody; 2 brothers, Mark and Kevin, a sister, Susan, many nieces and nephews and many, many friends. He is also predeceased by his mother, Marion (Sharp) Wynant, father, Hobart, and a brother, Michael.

Paul was the life of the party and so, a celebration of his life will be held in upcoming weeks. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit

You really did teach me a lot. Somewhere along my line of work I had lost a few things that you managed to bring back to my life and reminded me of the importance. You were there in one of my most difficult times of my life. I am grateful to see you and your family before your parting. Paul i know this isn't goodbye but see you later. I love you my friend
