Philip Fisher Obituary
Worcester - Philip H. Fisher, 87, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, January 24th in Beaumont Nursing Center. He leaves his former wife, Paula R. (Wilson) Fisher; three sons, Philip Fisher of Trinity, FL, Eliot Fisher and his wife Joan of Worcester, and Edward Fisher and his wife Charran of Worcester; two brothers, Floyd Fisher of Worcester and Carthur Fisher of Falmouth; two sisters, Sheila Troy and Vonda Moore of Worcester; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Fisher in 1979.
He was born in Worcester, the son of George and Charlotte (Dyer) Fisher, and lived here all his life. Philip owned and operated Fisher & Sons Trucking Company for more than 45 years. He enjoyed spending time at his home in Mashpee on Cape Cod, the ocean and fishing. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving, generous person and a friend to all.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 28th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His burial will be private.

This is Jeff Bradshaw again...I've got one more thing to say...This group of men and women back then (1960-1970) were the cornerstone, groundbreakers,fearless, proud, black business/men/women, who showed us that anything is possible. They are the people who have inspired me to fear nothing and approach the world as if it were mine. I have been so blessed to know all of the Fisher family and so many more. Thank You Phil Fisher....and all that knew you.

Just got thru looking at an old film of my mother and father (Elaine & James Bradshaw) over the Fishers partying down....they really knew how to have a great time...they did it all the time. Blessings and Love to all.

To Mrs. Paula, Phil, Jr. Larry I will miss your this very good friend I moved way from work. 1976 I have only seen Phil a couple of times since then his wonderful smile, big hug and kind word always comforted me. RIP, I love you all.

Like a big brother to many that knew him, A love of a family man, and friend to those that crossed his path. We will remember him for many things that we enjoyed about him with laughter and a big smile. I as one of many friends never recall seeing him in a bad mood, but one that was of the positive. We will miss our dear and wonderful friend, but know and keep in our hearts all of the memories that he gave to us. To all of the remaining family, my family sends our deepest regrets in knowing of his passing. RIP Phil, and know we love you.

Phil, Larry and Eddie I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Phil's passing. I shall never forget his generosity nor his humor. When he'd pull into our driveway at the cape we would drop whatever we'd be doing and prepare to laugh and laugh for the rest of the afternoon. He could find humor in the most mundane things and nothing seemed to please him more than laughing at himself. He was one-of-a-kind and we will all miss him.
