Philip Rhault Obituary

Philip M. Rhault, 73 of North Brookfield passed away peacefully on July 19, 2011 at Umass Memorial Medical Center-Univeristy Campus.

Even as he fought a courageous battle against Heart Disease, Philip showed admirable patience and endurance in the face of adversity.

Philip was a loving and devoted husband and father. He leaves his wife and best friend of 23 years, Karin M, Rhault. He leaves 3 daughters: Yvette Rhault & Tom Couillard of Spencer, Michelle Rhault of North Brookfield, Erika & Andy Rivers of North Brookfield; and one son Phillip Rhault of North Brookfield. He leaves 7 grandchildren: Michael, Jacob, Alissa, Zackary, Elise and one great granddaughter, Olivia.

Philip also leaves 3 sisters: Lucille Castigliune of Bristol, CT, Faye & Richard Batchelor of North Brookfield, Kathy & Donald Ridz of Monson; 2 brothers: Fred & Annemarie Smith of South Barre and Donald & Carol Smith of North Brookfield.

Born in Putnum, CT, the son of the late Rita Fortin and Leo Rhault. After graduating from High School he enlisted and served 4 years in the US Navy before going on to work as a supervisor at Flexcon for 43 years.

Philip enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. He was an avid traveler who liked to take long motorcycle rides and camp in his RV. He loved watching the Red Sox, listening to all types of music, playing pool and wood working.

He loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 8:45-9:45AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert Street, North Brookfield.
