Richard Fiske Obituary
NORTH BROOKFIELD - Richard J. "Dickie" Fiske Sr., 94, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2019 surrounded by his family.
He is the son of the late Nathan and Lulu (Morrison) Fiske and the husband of the late Jean T. (Messier) Fiske.
He leaves his children, Richard J. Fiske Jr. and his wife Joyce, David L. Fiske and his wife Janice, Angela M. Kwiatkowski, George N. Fiske, Thomas J. Fiske and his wife Dianne and Robin A. Zandy and her husband Ron. Dickie was a proud grandfather to 23 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by his four brothers and two sisters.
Dickie was the founder of the Heart to Heart Charity Foundation that helps many families experiencing difficult times due to illnesses. Dickie was a life-long resident of North Brookfield and enjoyed playing various venues with the Corn Cob band. He loved baseball and his long career in landscaping.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4-7PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. The funeral will be held on Friday with a Mass at 11AM in St. Josephs Church, 296 N.Main St., North Brookfield. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart to Heart Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 154, North Brookfield, MA 01535.

Fiske family,
Sorry for your loss. Some of my best childhood memories are of your Mom and Dad on School St. He would chase use around and pretend he was going to to bring all us kids to the dump. Grandma Jean always came to the rescue. I proud to have known such amazing people.
Your Dad's legacy will forever be protected and cherished by anyone lucky enough to have even known him for a moment. He made not only this town but this world a better place.
Now those two are together again watching all of you being proud.
Celebrate what a special person he was.

Joyce and Dick - I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Dick Sr. I met him at the 'Heart to Heart' a few years ago. He immediately made me feel 'at home'...like I was part of the family. He is certainly a very special soul, that I wish I could've had the chance to get to know better. He will be missed more than I could possibly imagine, by many many friends, family and the community. You and your entire family are in my prayers. I am sorry that you have to go through such a tough time. Love you all.

Dick, Joyce and the Fiske family. Jim and I were so sad to hear of Dickies passing. His kindness and spirit are beyond description. He guided us so strongly in what it means to give. He never sought riches for himself but for those who needed it. We were blessed to have known him and call him a friend. May god welcome his new angel.

Dickie was a special man and will be missed. We remember his performance at our Dad's 90th birthday in 2004. Dickie was married to Jeannie our cousin on our Mom's side. I called and spoke to him just a couple of months ago and he sounded just as young as he has always been! He is in a special place in heaven with his beloved Jeannie!!

To Dave and all your extended family....please accept my condolences on your father's passing. To say he lived a full life would be correct, even if he'd passed at half the age he achieved. He cared about so many people and he took care OF them, through his Heart To Heart Foundation. Living in NB for 30 years, I marveled at his energy, drive and determination. (How DID he manage to run behind his lawn mower all the time like that?) He never lacked an opinion and I could count on an earful, if we got onto a hot local topic.
Best of all, he saw everyone around him as an equal, with intrinsic value, no matter their station in life. He was a good man. And there can be no higher compliment.unless you add that he loved music so much. Now, there's the total package.
God made Dickie and then broke the mold, just so there could never be another like him. One Dickie Fiske was more than enough to spread love & care throughout his community to which he was devoted. And, now, Dickie, you've just been waved around third base, to slide into home plate. You're safe.

Dickie was a person that everyone should strive to be. What a life he lead.I played ball with him for many years,as time went on one of us had to quit,and it wasnt Dickie! A heart of gold.
