Richard Foglio Obituary
Whitinsville - Richard J. Foglio Jr., 59, of Country Club Drive, died Thursday, January 28, 2021, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna L. (St. Germain) Foglio of Whitinsville; two children, Danielle Y. Foglio and her fiancé Traiver Graham of Dade City, FL, and Erick J. Foglio and his fiancée Jessie Grevin of Maryville, TN; his father, Richard J. Foglio of Milford; his brother, Gary E. Foglio and his wife Donna of Tega Cay, SC; one aunt, one uncle, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, son of the late Gladys S. (Lemay) Foglio, and lived in Milford and Oxford before moving to Whitinsville in 1992. He graduated from Milford High School in 1979, attended Arizona State University, and received his bachelor's degree from Clark University in Worcester.
Mr. Foglio worked for TransCanada for several years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Whitinsville. He was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity at Arizona State University, enjoyed coin collecting, driving his Ford Mustang, and spending time with his beloved cat, Rosie.
Mr. Foglio was an avid golfer. He was a former member at Franklin Country Club in Franklin, where he was Club Champion in 1997. He was currently a member at Whitinsville Golf Club, where he was Club Champion in 2013.
Calling hours are Sunday, January 31, 2021, from 4-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A funeral service followed by burial at St. Roch's Cemetery will be held privately due to COVID restrictions. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284, for the exceptional care he received at the Milford facility, or to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.

Mr. Foglio, I am very sorry of Rick’s passing. I haven’t seen Rick since high school. Always liked him. I’ve known the two of you since Rick and I were About 8. You coached us in farm league baseball. You were great. And Rick was our star player. He ended up being an excellent golfer. I was not surprised. Rick Always had a smile. You and he were great people.
