It is so hard to explain such a great man in so few words. Mr. Mannix taught me to “figure it out” on my own. Have pride in my work, be a better person, and do the right thing even when it was the harder task. Mr. Mannix helped and guided me so much, that words cannot describe. Out of all the things that Mr. Mannix gave me what I will remember most of all, was all the time he spent with me, those were some of the best days of my life.

He was far more than a teacher, he was my friend. He made every school day fun, and I looked forward to seeing him, hearing his wonderful catch phrases, and just enjoying his presence. I'd go down to his office before school, after school, during lunch, during study….whenever I got the chance. He was a character, but also a mentor, and the epitome of what a teacher should be. He cared for his kids, took an interest in them, and challenged us in such a way that we loved what we were doing. Rest in Peace Mr. Mannix.
