Robert Kunen Obituary
WORCESTER - Robert J. Kunen, 78, passed away peacefully unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, with family by his side. Bob was born in Boston on December 4, 1941, to Samuel and Eleanor Kunen. He grew up in Marlborough and was the oldest of four sons. After graduating from Clark University and Leslie College, he enjoyed a career as both a teacher and vice principal in the Marlborough public schools.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Roberta (Hack) Kunen; his daughters, Pamela Henes and her husband, Jonathan of New York, NY and Amy Zall and her husband, Evan of Concord; his brothers, Mark, James and his wife, Lisa and Peter Hack; seven grandchildren, Sam, Ellie, Charlotte, Cece and Jake Henes, and Noah and Simon Zall . He loved spending time with his family. Bob especially enjoyed vacationing on the Cape and listening to Neil Diamond's greatest hits in the early evenings. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and followed their saga meticulously and enthusiastically throughout his life. He will be missed.
Bob's family will honor and remember his life at a private graveside service in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Auburn. Contributions may be made in his memory to Chabad of Central Mass, 22 Newton Ave, Worcester, Ma 01602 or the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, Ma 01609. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Richard Perlman of Miles Funeral Home.

I happened to come across your husbands obit and wanted you to know I sm thinking of you. Certainly many years have passed since we were friends and fellow Spanish majors at UMass but I have never forgotten laughing and joking snd studying for the exams I too am a widow as my second husband John died eight years ago.
