Robert A. Morrissette, 72

Northbridge - Robert A. Morrissette, 72, passed away on Mon. Sept. 6, 2021 surrounded by family at Rose Monahan Hospice after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by two children, Adam Morrissette and Vanessa Gniadek and her husband Nicholas all of Northbridge; their mother, Bernice Morrissette of Northbridge; two step children, Angela Conway and her husband Michael of Oxford, and Charles Morrissette DeGennaro of Millbury; five grandchildren; his brother, Richard Morrissette of Northbridge; and many good friends.

Born and raised in Northbridge on Nov. 12, 1948, Robert was the son of the late Lucien and Georgette (Nero) Morrissette and lived here all his life. Bob was educated at St. Peters School, and graduated from Northbridge High School in 1963. He furthered his education at UCONN and earned his Allied Health Bachelors Degree in 1973.

Robert worked as a Physical Therapist at Doctor's Hospital, Fogerty Hospital, and the VNA in Rhode Island for many years. He also taught at the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester. After retirement he dedicated himself to caring for his parents.

Bob was good with his hands and was skilled at building and carpentry. He especially loved playing baseball and later watching his kids play sports. He enjoyed long drives on his motorcycle to the White Mountains and visiting relatives in Canada. Robert was extremely dedicated to his family. He was selfless making sure everyone was taken care of. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. His family would like to thank Dr. Rossi, his nurse Mindy and the staff of Dana Farber for their compassionate care and support.

Robert's Funeral Mass will be held on Mon. Sept. 13, 2021 at 11am in St Peters Church, 39 Church Ave. Northbridge. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sun, Sept. 12 from 3 to 5 pm in Jackman Funeral home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville.
