Robert Pratt Obituary
WORCESTER - Robert F. Pratt, 91, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 14, 2018.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Marjorie A. (Williams) Pratt; three sons, Robert S. Pratt (Diana) of Sterling, William M. Pratt (Alma) and Stephen P. Pratt, all of Worcester; three daughters, Kathleen P. Sabourin (Roland) of Sutton, Karen P. Coyle (Thomas) of Worcester, and Margaret A. Arsenault (James) of Amherst; a son-in-law Arthur Todras of Richmond, Va.; sixteen grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Noah, Miriam, Thomas, Elizabeth, Colleen, Sara, Alex, Eliza, Melissa, Kristin, Robert, Cindy, Abby and Sofija; and six great-grandchildren, Daemian, Lorelei, Catarina, Chanelle, Thomas and Jacob.
Bob also leaves his brother and best friend Paul H. Pratt and his wife Maureen of Worcester; and his sisters, Margaret Alix, Helen Morin, and Mary Jane O'Leary, all of whom who reside on Cape Cod; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved daughter Joanne Pratt.
Bob was born in Worcester on Sept. 16, 1926, son of the late Peter and Mary Helen (Scannell) Pratt. He graduated from North High School in Worcester in 1945.
Bob served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he attended the New England School of Accounting. He started working part-time at A.C. Bowler Electrical Sales Co. when he was 14 years old. He retired from Bowler's at age 70.
Bob was a longtime member of the Retired Men's Club of Greendale. He was an active member of St. George Catholic Church and served for over 30 years on the Sunday Coffee Shop Team.
Calling hours are Friday, May 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Saturday, May 19, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. George Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Parish, 40 Brattle St., Worcester MA 01606.
