"Now cracks a noble heart. Good night sweet prince: and fights of angels sing thee to thy rest." Thank you for Law and Gospel and a living image of unconditional love. "Men vi vet at nar Christ vises, vi skal bli som ham, for vi skal se ham som han er." IJo 3:3

Grieving yet rejoicing in Pastor Hintze's promotion. I knew him only briefly as I was church-hopping during a very difficult and pivotal moment in my spiritual journey. His presentation of the Law & Gospel and joyful administration of the liturgy and sacraments was a real shot in the arm to my faith. My condolences to his family and the congregation of Our Savior.

This train, there's no time to cry on this train. This train, there's no time to cry on this train. This train, there's no time to cry, you'll be to busy growing wings cuz you were born to fly, on this train.
See you soon, Unka Muck!

Pastor Mike possessed a real gift. He used Law and Gospel in near perfect parts, to expose our wretchedness to the point of realizing our need of salvation, then quickly offering and applying the healing balm of redemption, through Christ, so that we were never left to despair. My prayers are, most especially, with his constantly growing biological (and "adopted”) family, the members of Our Savior, and all those who know and love him. I rejoice in knowing that he has been unchained from the earth and now stands with all the Saints who've gone before him, in the presence of the Lord of our hearts. I will miss you, my “brother" - until we meet again.

Ethel and I are filled with awe as we see the fruit of Pastor Mike's 37 years of continuous service to the flock given to him, to nourish with the bread of life the exposition of God's Holy Word.
We see this born out in the life of our dear daughter-in-law Sarah who so dearly loved and cherished her " Uncle Mike "
His legacy will to the Glory of God because of his everlasting steadfast obedience to the Scriptures and to proclaiming the Salvation available in Jesus Name
We are filled with Godly sorrow for all who have lost for a time their beloved Mike but
HE HEARS THE VOICE OF GOD IN PERSON

It was our beloved Pastor's wish to be with Jesus...he is now face to face with Him.
May the Lord keep Ann and Pastor's family in the palm of His hand. He will truly be missed, but we will meet again.

"Knowing The Love" Pastor Mike taught and lived a life that truly reflected that Divine Love. I was drawn to this church by this great love. I've been blessed to have found such a deeply devoted church. Remember all the good stuff he taught us. I can almost hear him saying now take care of each other and remember the LOVE that Christ Jesus has for all of us, I Love You All

I am so sorry for your loss. Although we know he is where we all long to be, we, who are left were not built to say goodbye (guess who taught me that?). I know how much I am hurting, I can't imagine what it is for you and Mom and Hannah and Marta. I love you all so much, I wish I could take this sadness away, but the pain and grief we are all experiencing is testimony to the immense impact and great love he shared while he was here.

Our hearts go out to all the family and the members of Our Savior's. Pastor Mike was a great inspiration to me and countless others in his zeal to spread the Gospel to the lost, and also to speak the Law those who needed to hear it (always in the most loving way). Praise God He saw fit to call Pastor to his heavenly home, and not remain unable to preach and teach. He will be sorely missed. Wish we could be with you in person, but we will be with you in the Spirit.
