Ruth E. Roy, 89

MILLBURY - Ruth E. (LeBel) Roy, 89, died on Monday, May 18, 2015, in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge.

Her husband of 52 years, Donald C. Roy, died in 2005. She leaves four children: Jacqueline Q. Courtemanche of Whitinsville, Michael D. Roy and David R. Roy, both of Millbury, and Sandra R. Roy of Sutton; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty A. O'Gassian of North Oxford, and two brothers: Chester "Chet" LeBel and Eudor "Ditto" LeBel, both of Millbury.

She was born in Millbury, daughter of the late Eudor C. and Corinne M. (Daniels) Lebel, and resided there all of her life.

She was a graduate of Millbury Memorial High School.

Mrs. Roy was employed as a nurse's aide at Pine Grove Villa, Millbury, Beaumont Nursing and Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge, and St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville and, in addition, worked as a home health aide. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Parish, Millbury, and enjoyed cooking, baking and spending as much time as she could with family and friends.

Her funeral will be Saturday, May 23, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Assumption Catholic Church, 10 Waters St. She will then be buried beside her beloved husband in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Saturday from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M., before the Mass. Contributions in her memory may be made to Salmon Hospice Care, 42 Beaumont Drive, Northbridge, MA 01534.
