Sandra Kady Obituary
East Brookfield - Sandra L."Sandy" Kady, 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 surrounded by her family after an unexpected illness. Sandy was born on May 10, 1958 in Ware, MA. and resided in East Brookfield her entire life.
She was survived by her husband of more than 40 years, Gary M. Kady who affectionately called her Sam; her two daughters, Michelle Richard and her husband Michael, and Christine Kady-Harris and her husband Scott; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Carol Mulrain and her husband Neil, Doris Johnson, Deborah Bisonette; brothers, Joseph Kularski, Christopher Kularski and wife Anna, and Stanley Kularski. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Shirley Kularski, and her brother William Kularski.
Sandy worked as the Collector of Taxes in East Brookfield for more than 21 years, and as the Treasurer in Brookfield for 3 years. She was also actively involved in the East Brookfield community and co-started Friends for the Community. She was an avid quilter and gifted many of her quilts, bags, and other creations to family, friends, and community and charitable use. She loved going on cruises and spending time at home with her husband, Gary. As a doting Grandmother (Gammy), she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play in the yard, swim in the pool, and teaching them how to quilt. She also loved relaxing on the couch with her rescued pug, Junior.
A special thank you to all of the providers at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, and Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester who took such great care of Sandy.
As Sandy so famously said, "That's my story and I'm stickin' to it."
A Memorial Mass for Sandy will be held on Thursday, May 18,2017 at 11:00AM in St. John the Baptist Church N. Brookfield Road, East Brookfield. Burial will be private for the family in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Town of East Brookfield 100th Anniversary Celebration,122 Connie Mack Dr. E.Brookfield,MA.01515.Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield is directing arrangements.

To Sandra's family. I knew Sandra through her position as Treasurer in Brookfield and Collector in East. Brookfield. My deepest sympathy for all of you. She was a great person, and always had a smile on her face when I would call on her, even though I was taking up way too much of her time. She is gone way too soon. God bless all of you and may time and sweet memories bring you peace and acceptance.

Gary, Christine, Michelle, and to the Kularski family, my heart is broken. I watched Sandy grow up into a wonderful friend ,wife and mother . I want to tell you all how sorry I am for your loss. I don't think she"ll be resting, I see her as a butterfly, visiting everyone up there in paradise showing them how to make quilts. Her smile, her laugh will be missed by all who knew her.

Sandy has been a wonderful neigbor for the last 21 years. She was the female version of Wilson on Home Improvement. We played ball together or against each other over the years it was a pleasure knowing such a nice person. She will be missed but never forgotten.
