Sheila Trahan Obituary

Sheila A. (DiRoberto) Trahan, 52

Webster - Sheila A. (DiRoberto) Trahan, 52, of Hall Street, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester, from COVID-induced pneumonia. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, George E. Trahan, III, of Webster; two daughters, Katie L. White and her husband David of Dudley, and Lexus M. Trahan of Webster and her fiancé Harvind Singh of India; her father, Michael R. DiRoberto Sr. of Webster; her mother, Judith I. Stone of Oxford; her brother, Michael DiRoberto Jr. and his wife April of Webster; two grandchildren, Zoey Faith Cranshaw and Carter White, both of Dudley; her father- and mother-in-law, George and Gladys Trahan Jr. of Arizona; two nieces, Sabrina M. DiRoberto and her fiancée Melissa Garabedian of Amherst, and Tonya Frenier and her wife Kristine Frenier of Malone, NY; a nephew, Dylan M. DiRoberto of Oxford; her sister-in-law, Brenda A. Trahan of Arizona; her uncle, Matteo DiRoberto of Florida; her aunt, Betty DiRoberto-Naples of California; many great-nephews and great-nieces; and many friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Melissa DiRoberto who died in 1987. She was born in Worcester and lived in Oxford before moving to Webster 30 years ago. She was currently attending Quinsigamond Community College pursuing a degree in business management.

Mrs. Trahan was a bus driver at A.A. Transportation for over 25 years. She loved to make homemade candies and cakes, and was known as the "Candy Lady" to those closest to her. She enjoyed kayaking with her husband, taking her dogs on nature walks, and time spent by the water, especially Hampton Beach, Webster Lake, and Maine. Sheila never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. She considered anyone she met to be part of her family and would put everyone else ahead of herself. Her presence in a room was palpable, she was kind to everyone she met, and she loved her grandchildren more than anything.

A celebration of her life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Faith Church, 22 Faith Ave., Auburn. Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours are Friday, August 20, 2021, from 6-9 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 290 Turnpike Rd., Suite 5-315, Westborough, MA 01581.
