Shirley Fay Obituary

Shirley M. (Girard) Fay, 67, passed away August 16, 2010 suddenly in St. Vincents Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley leaves her husband of 37 years, John W. Fay; a daughter, Wendi Adams and husband Neil of Auburn, and a son, John P. Fay of Auburn. She leaves her 2 granddaughters, Alexa Adams and Amanda Fay, the lights of her life. She also leaves her twin sister, Beverly Camarra of Worcester and her sister, Jeannette Perry of Shrewsbury; 2 nieces, Katie Perry and Bonnie Dufault; nephew, Spencer Perry; and many sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Shirley was born in Worcester. She was raised in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School. She worked at the Worcester Country Club for more than 20 years and was currently employed by Honey Dew Donuts. Shirley loved spending time with her family especially her grandaughters and also loved going to the beaches in Maine and Newport, RI.

Shirley was a kind and generous person inspiring others to follow her example. Her untimely passing leaves a void that will not easily be filled by her family and friends.

Shirly worked with me in Northbourgh from 1975-77. She was a great server/waitress the customers loved her. She became a friend to me during those short two years. But, what I remember most about Shirley was her dedication to her family and friends. God Bless

To the Fay Family,
I have worked for the Honey Dew corporate office for ten years and have had the wonderful opportunity to see Shirley's smiling face in the Sutton and Auburn stores. She was a wonderful woman and ALWAYS asked how I was and always wished the best for me. I will miss being able to see her and having her making me smile. So sorry for your loss......
