Stacy Marysz Obituary

Stacy A. Marysz

Westminster: Stacy A. (Pawlowicz) Marysz, 100, of Westminster, MA went to the Lord on Thursday, May 5 at her home with her son Philip by her side. She was born in Gardner, MA on December 7, 1915 to the late Stanley V. and Antoninette R.(Szabeck) Pawlowicz. Stacy was married to the late John "Johnny" Marysz for fifty-nine years. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jennie R. St. Hilaire and Eleanor D. Baltakis.

Stacy leaves her loving son Philip J. Marysz of Westminster; her sister, Mary A. Duteau of Concord, MA; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-reat-nephews. Stacy was dearly loved by her family who will cherish her memory forever.

Stacy operated Johnny's Market on Main St. in Westminster with her husband Johnny until 1969. She was often known as "Mrs. Johnny". Johnny and Stacy let no one in town go hungry ! In her early years, she worked as a receptionist for Doctors Dunn, Levesque, and Thompson.

Stacy and Johnny enjoyed traveling to Europe, Hawaii, and New York City. In spite of the long working hours in the store, she always hosted large family gatherings at the holidays and enjoyed a well made Manhattan. She was a communicant at St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Westminster and a member of the Women's Guild. A long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she could be relied upon to prepare hundreds of crepe paper poppies and to assist with the annual Memorial Day Poppy Drive. She was a wonderful cook and baked for lots & lots of community functions over the years.

Stacy celebrated her 100th birthday with a Mass at her Westminster home surrounded by family and friends. The Westminster Council on Aging presented her with the Boston Post Cane in January.

Stacy was an amazing and beautiful woman. She was Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Godmother, Great Auntie, and Great-Great Auntie to a family that loved her dearly and will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She will be sorely missed!

Philip would like to thank the "French Connection" for their almost two years of loving and compassionate care.

Stacy's Funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 11 from the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 123 Main St. Westminster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church St. Westminster. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.

Calling hours are at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 10th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster Town Benefit Fund, P.O. Box 63, Westminster, MA 01453 or may be left at the funeral home.
